1. News

Welcome to the latest issue of the Homeworking Ideas newsletter, the monthly publication which gives you all the latest news from the UK on ways of earning money from home.

New Paid Survey Invitation
Following on from last month, I've heard that cash paying survey company, Opinion People have opened up their recruitment period again but only until the end of May, so if you missed out last month, here's another chance. Just go to http://www.homeworkinguk.com/opinions.html to sign up.

Employment Scams
I was going through my e-mail trash this week and noticed just how many of the money handling scams are around at the moment. I've covered them in the past, but hadn't realised just how prolific it has got. This week alone I've had offers of work from at least 15 different companies, so I've added a separate page to the site covering them in more detail. Details at http://www.homeworkinguk.com/employmentscam.html

2. Featured Affiliate Resource

Big Shot Affiliate
From your e-mails I know a lot of you are interested in earning from home and like the idea of affiliate marketing but simply don't have the money to keep buying guides for $50 or more, and then maybe need to buy additional software to make it work. This month then I've been checking out a new piece of software that costs just $7, which by little more than pointing and clicking tells you just what you need to do to create successful campaigns, and how to minimise your advertising costs. If you're already running less than successful campaigns, the system tell you what needs to be changed and what you need to do in the future. Full details available from http://www.homeworkinguk.com/bigshot.html and of course this software still comes with the usual refund guarantee.

2. Featured Business Resources

Free/Low cost instant traffic generation
With Google playing around with their search results in such a way that my listing has been veering between top of page 1 to disappearing from the top 200 or anywhere inbetween on an almost daily basis, this month I've been looking at alternative methods of generating instant traffic without resorting to the expense of Pay Per Click advertising, and was pleasantly surprised by the results.

If you have a small advertising budget, one method worth considering is paying for guaranteed visitors to your site. Now most companies offering this service are either very expensive, untargeted, which seems to mean loads of visitors from China if my experience is typical, or displaying your site in pop-ups which most visitors will never see. However I have found one company that avoids all these pitfalls by buying up high traffic expired domains and then diverting visitors to sites in the same business sector. You can choose which country or countries you want to target to avoid those that aren't relevant to your site, or are less likely to be responsive. I recently purchased a package from this company and was very pleased to find that visitors obtained this way were viewing nearly as many pages of the site as visitors obtained through other means, so they aren't simply clicking away. Find out more from http://www.homeworkinguk.com/visitors.htm

Perhaps not surprisingly, one sector that has always been light years ahead of everyone else when it comes to driving traffic is what is euphemistically described as the "adult sector" yet for some reason many of their highly effective techniques don't seem to have been used in other sectors. This month, however I've learned of two different resources from former participants who are passing on knowledge gained this way. If they could do it in the most competitive industry online, it's not unreasonable to assume they could do it for any type of product, in any industry, and this has proved to be the case. You can download a free report from one of these webmasters, known only as Jerry, from http://www.homeworkinguk.com/traffic_lessons.pdf

Alternatively take a look at Maximum Overdrive. This isn't just another downloadable ebook but a mailed out monthly workshop which outlines step by step the exact course of action you need to take in order to build your profitable new business. If you follow the simple steps, laid out for you in black and white, each edition of Maximum Overdrive claims it will generate incredible profits for you without fail. It's no big secret, although some might try to convince you otherwise, that one of the biggest failings in marketers that don't make money, or even lose money, is a lack of focus. Maximum Overdrive is designed to point you towards profits, and keep you on track, without costly distractions.

In his previous sector, the author generated a fortune with under the radar and occasionally devious tactics. You'll also get insider access to these very techniques.

You can get your first issue of Maximum Overdrive delivered to your front door for only $15. Once you've received that first issue, you'll have an actionable plan to put money in your pockets, and will cover that investment and then some. http://www.homeworkinguk.com/woody.html has full details.

Another site I've been impressed with, is Linkreferral. You list the site you wish to promote - either your own or an affiliate link - and for just a small amount of work, you can get a good number of visitors to your site. It works a little like a traffic exchange in that your ranking in the directory is improved by visiting other sites in the directory, but there are two major advantages. With most traffic exchanges, people are surfing as many sites as possible to generate as many return hits and therefore often tend to pay little attention to what is being shown to them. Linkreferral only gives you any benefit from the first 30 sites you visit each day, and to further ensure you take time to look at the sites properly, you get an extra boost to the ranking of your site by providing a review on up to 5 of the sites you visit. The reviews I've received have clearly been from people who've really looked at the content provided. Details available from http://www.homeworkinguk.com/links.html

Another one that looks promising, and doesn't require you to add code to a site, and thus useful for affiliate links is Adsvert. They display ad boxes, similar to Google Ads on a site and in exchange for every time your panel is displayed you get 3 impressions of your own ad. If you can't add code directly to a page, then the system uses a sort of overlay (similar to an unblockable popup) for the panel. They give you 2500 impressions to get you started and you can also purchase guaranteed clicks, from just $11, in which case your ad will receive unlimited impressions until the ad receives the purchased number of clicks. Full details available from http://adsvert.com/?uid=loconnor

If you're not so much interested in visitors but need people to sign up for programs you are promoting, then Getref.com is worth a look. With this downline club, members will signup under you in return for credits which they can use to get other members to sign up under them. You can add conditions to the offer, to ensure members aren't simply signing up without any intention of participating. I recently promoted Exodus3000, one of my favourite (and highly addictive) online "get paid to play" games which require a certain number of moves for a player to be considered active. I simply added this requirement to my listing and had no problems getting referrals. You can sign up with Getref at http://www.homeworkinguk.com/getref.html or alternatively, if you'd just like to play Exodus3000 visit http://www.homeworkinguk.com/exodus3000.html

4. Featured Freebies

If you haven't already checked out the guide itself, you can find more details at http://www.homeworkinguk.com/lazy.htm

Free Backlinks
Following on from last month's recommendation, Lazy Git Marketing (see http://www.homeworkinguk.com/newsletter/newsletter407.html for details), here's a freebie taken from the guide for those of you who haven't already bought your copy. BlogCommentorLite is a great piece of software that searches out WordPress blogs, in PageRank order, that are related to the theme of your site, or any other keywords you choose to search. It then opens each one in a browser window for you to add comments and an automatic link back to your own site. I've successfully added a link to several PR6 sites this way. Download your free copy from http://www.homeworkinguk.com/blogcommentorlite.zip

Free software
How would you like a new piece of software every day - no strings attached? Giveawayoftheday.com is offering just that. Just visit http://www.homeworkinguk.com/new.htm for today's freebie and remember to check back regularly for new products.

Free books, games, CDs and DVDs
How many books that you've read, DVDs that you've watched and console games that you've played do you have gathering dust somewhere in your home? If you're anything like me it's sure to be more than a few. Well now, Hitflip is offering you the chance to swap the items you don't use for titles you want for no more than the cost of postage. Just list the items you want to get rid of, and earn credits towards the items you want. To get you started they're offering you a free dvd, book, cd or game just for signing up. You can get full details from http://www.homeworkinguk.com/hitflip.html

I hope you've found something of interest this month. I'll speak to you again next month.
