You are probably aware of all the mail order catalogues - Littlewoods, Freemans, Empire Stores etc which are advertised in just about every Sunday supplement and women's magazine. The quality of the goods in these catalogues has improved dramatically over the least few years, providing a real alternative to high street shopping. The free postage for returns makes it easy to order goods, without getting stuck with them. Consider ordering a few and having a coffee morning or gathering among friends or neighbours. If you prepare in advance, you could theme it - childrens toys, beachwear etc. You earn 10% on orders placed by other people, or if you prefer, you can earn a few pounds just by persuading people to get their own catalogue.
